I don't know anything about cutlery and my wife knew a little; so when we received this knife set as a wedding gift, we were kind of "Oh. How nice." We just figured we could make do with our old set, and that this gift was sort of gratuitous. We we ever wrong. Little did we realize how absolutely essential the Henckels International Eversharp Pro 9-Piece Steak Knife Block Set would be. The knives are smooth-cutting and precise. The grips are extremely comfortable, and, so far, we've had no problem with the dishwashing. They are very durable and have not gone the slightest bit dull.
