Henckels 40314-240
I went on a major search for a good quality, heavy-weight, medium-sized stockpot. I already own Le Creuset, All-Clad & Lodge Cast Iron pots, but needed a 'go to' size & shape. After a lot of deliberation, I ordered this based on the description and Henckels reputation, without having seen any 'in person'. I LOVE IT! It is heavy enough to keep bottom from scorching easily with long simmered stews, but not so heavy as to be unwieldy. Most 8-qt pots are wider & not quite as tall. I find I much prefer this shape. I don't need a whole set (see above!), but I am looking for other open-stock pieces to round ... The middle aluminum layer extends
