I bought these knives because I'm tired of buying new knives every year. The handles on these are perfect for any level of chef. The blades are sharp enough to cut through raw meat, vegetables (even potatoes!), and fruits as though they were butter. I don't own a dishwasher, as of now, but I wouldn't put them in there any way. We simply handwash them, dry them, and put them immediately back in their racks. I use at least one knife every day, as I cook a LOT.
